Stupid Girls talks about women in the media who make headlines for the "stupid" things they do. This song mocks the fact that girls who make the most change in the world dont get as much publicity and the girls who tend to drink,party and be crazy seem to be top headline. This song is especially noting the fact that young girls are making role models of these stars who feel that being thin and beautiful is the way to go.

Miley Cyrus has come a long way from her hannah montana days her music has evolved so much since her early beginnings. Her new song entitled "The Climb" is featured in her new movie entitled Hannah Montana: The Movie.
This song would best fit in the country genre its a slow song that features many traditional country instruments one being the guitar. There's also piano in the song however most of the sounds are computer generated.
This is a very mature song with a lot of truth to it. In this song miley sings about the journey we all must take to fulfill any dream and the struggles that ensue upon doing so. though it aint easy and sometimes we feel we'll never get there it all about the journey to get there and the lessons learned along the way.

Kat De Luna still isnt as famous as other recording artists. However, her music continues to inspire. With the release of her second album the music seems to be very fun to listen to.

This song is total confidence booster for anyone whos ever felt doubted or been insulted. Unstoppable basically talks about being unstoppable and not matter what anyone says a person is going to continue doing there thing no matter what.

In this song pink is trying to get her man to stay despite the fact that shes been mean rude and asked him to leave. The guy in the video is ready to leave however she doesnt want him to leave anymore and asks him to stay...she apolagizes and pleads that she didnt mean the hurtful words and that she wants him to please dont leave her.

Wisin y Yandel are a Puerto Rican duo who have cemented there way in the music industry with hit after hit. There music is uniquely different than most people in there genre however they've made it work.
Dime Que te Paso is a ballad it has very soft bass beats with an acoustic guitar sound. In this song you can also here a beautiful piano melody aside from all of these things you also here whats heard in every song thats right computer generated sounds however the instruments in this song prevail and make a beautiful melody.
This song is about a married couple with a child. The husband goes off to war while the wife struggles to raise her child alone and keep the house together while hes a way. When the husband comes back they both notice things are different however they try to make it work the husband pleads to his wife to understand to let him know what wrong. In the end hes called back to active duty and unfortunatley gets killed in combat. The wife is left heartbroken and devastated as she now feels lost without her husband as many army wives have been forced to face a similar fate.

Rockstar is basically hard beats with a pinch of electric guitar to truly encompass the rockstar feel. The rythms are repetitive yet very catchy.
This song is basically a girl power song that makes girls feel like rockstars. This song is such a great shoutout to all those guys who like to play games thinking they can just go around and play girls. It basically calls out all the guys who have ever told a girl they were special when there together but the minute theyre alone theyre telling some other girl the exact same thing. However in this song the girl has decided to say enough is enough and let the guy know that he just not the one for her.

The Pussycat Dolls are such an empowering girl group who with there intricate choreography and beautiful personalities have shown women that they can do anything that they set there minds too.

This song talks about a couple tryin to live there romance however there having to hide from the world because no one understands. I love this song from day one the fact that it was a women empowerment song I knew i was gonna love it. This song talks about basically how a woman is just as good as a guy and that just how guys are hustlers the woman version of a hustler is a DIVA.

Janet Jackson has stayed in the game with decades of hits. She's recorded many succesful albums and throughout the years has managed to stay in the loop of pop culture.
This song starts off with very mellow guitar strumming and continues throughout. as the lyrics start so do the deeper bass beats. The chorus speeds up and is more upbeat this is a very girly song that you can listen to with your friends in the car or when your just hanging out at home.
Someone to call my lover is about a girl who newly single and she just wants to fall in love she talks about how her friends tell her she shouldn't be so desperate throughout the song she just despcribes what she would do for the guy she wants to fall in love with and everyday brings the possiblity for someone to call her lover.

Todays singer is a bad boy artist who has been out of the scene for a while. However, her first album had some really good music on it. Now im all about female empowerment, and I enjoy artists who sings songs that support all women.

This song is about a beautifully confident girl whom despite the fact that shes been hurt in the past shes learned how guys work and no matter what type of lines they try to run by her shes not having it. Theres no point in trying to mess with a girl whos confident because no matter how hard a guys tries he will always have a long way to go.

This song is basically about a girl whom after a very trouble relationship has not been able to heal from the pain it caused her. Todays song is by an artist whom with her unique voioce made it far in the american idol auditions. Free yourself is by fantasia barrino and it is a great song and if you take a minute to listen you'll see why.

This song is about a girl who feels that her boyfriend is not so into her anymore. Despite the fact that she feels that her boyfriend doesnt love her she doesnt want to hold her back and urges him to move on if hes no longer happy.

Todays artist started her career at the tender age of 13 at such a young age she already displayed signs of an amazing voice. Despite her age her music displayed such emotion and passion that could only be felt from someone twice her age.
Leave get out is an awesome song it starts off with warm bass beats and gentle guitar strumming. The chorus displays stronger more commanding beats but all in all this song is very enjoyable and relays a strong empowering message.
This song talks about a couple in trouble with there relationship the girl in the relationship finds out that hes cheating on her but she hesitates to say anything because she thinks of how he told her all of these sweet things. Despite everything however she gathers her strength and calls him out on everything she knows hes done. in the end she sets him straight and even though its hard she asks him to leave get out.

So a lot of people know todays artist from a show she used to do back in the 90's called Moesha. Brandy has been in the media for such a long time and yes theres been some stories said about her but i guess it comes with the territory. Regardless this artist has transcended in the music industry and continues to deligt us to this day.
What about has a catchy beat with alot of electric sounds however, there isnt really a band sound behind it. The song seems to be really done with studio sounds never the less its a really catchy song.
What about us is real girl power song that talks about a dishonest guy who seems to think that he can go around doing anything he wants and still keep tabs on his girlfriend as if he owned her. However the girl in this relationship isn't having it and completely calls him out on the fact that he told her he was different and that he would never hurt her. Despite the heartbreak she doesnt stress and is all about telling him to walk on because for her finding someone else wouldnt be a problem.

So todays artist has been through so much in her life as a singer. She married the love of her life and then divorced him. Shes been criticized for her weight her intelligence and so many things thereafter. Her song remember that is on her new album and its beautiful.
Remember that is a beautiful country ballad with powerful lyrics and a strong country style. The violin abounds throughout the song we here drums playing and what seems to be a regular guitar that makes this song sound more familiar.
This song is about a girl talking to anyone of us out there who have been hurt physically or mentally by a man whom we love and how its not worth it. She advises to remember how he would abuse you enough to hurt you and how he would apologize and that no matter how hard he apologizes its important to remember that...hes apologized before.

Miley Cyrus is the latest teen sensation sturring up controversy by just being herself. She's the daughter of billy ray cyrus and has a promising carrier ahead of her if she can keep a good head on her soldiers.
Miley's new song Fly on the Wall is very electric. The rock n roll vibe ocming from this song is really awesome thx to the eletric guitar. however it still maintains its pop feel.
Fly on the Wall of the wall to me can be interpreted as her singing about the paparazzi and a boy...but thats the beauty of music that its how it makes you feel not necesarily what it says. Anyway It talks about her asking someone if they wished they could be a fly on the wall so they could see everything that she does and know who shes with at all times. Basically it goes back and forth talking explaining why theres not need for the fly. Good song :)

Hello and welcome to one of my three weekly posts. I decided that i would do a fun upbeat song that im sure everyone has heard but it's such a good song that it deserves to be written about.Please don't stop the music is a really fun song sung by the one and only Rihanna.
This song is great song to listen to regardless of where you are. This song features some heavy bass beats with some dance type beats in the background.
A lot of girls can testify to this song being true.Please Don't Stop the Music is a song about a a girl going out on a night on the town not looking for anything but to release some stress until she saw "him". She sees a guy and is mezmerized by him and before you know it she describes dancing to him and how she wants the dj to please dont stop the music!

I've recently been introduced to the movie twilight and well to be honest I loved the romanticism of it yeah it was a little out there but it was so...good! Well in the movie theres a song called decode by paramore that really did it for me. After only a short time on the scene this band has really done a lot for themselves.
This song is very mellow however it doesnt come short when it comes to the bands rock and roll style the electric guitar abounds as the song captivates you with its lyrics.
The song is called decode and it talks about a girl who is in a relationship with a guy who seems to be playing with her and she doesnt understand how it happened how the man she loves could do something like that to her when she thought she knew him so well.

For todays post I decided to write about one of my personal fave artists to listen to Amy Winehouse. Lately this award winning singer has been caught in the eye of the storm when it comes to family and her career however she still has top selling albums and hopefully a continuously succesful career.
Back to Black has a very mellow feel to it and holds a very jazzy beat throughout its entirety. When listening to this song you will be taken back to the early jazz era where jazz singers would belt out there passionate lyrics and show you what it was like to feel there pain.
In this song we talk about a love gone wrong a dishonest man whom after going through so much with his partner has decided to be unfaithful. After being let go he cold heartedly goes back to the other women without remourse and without a care as my heart goes back to black.

The song I chose to write about is call All About Us. This song has a very impactful sound that would call attention to a lot of people upon hearing it. The song features an suspensful sound with use of the electric guitar throughout the melody.
All about us talks about two best friends that through there rebellious ways have lost the trust of the people around them however there close bond will keep them together and out of harms way because in the end its all about us.

For todays post i decided to write about pinks latest song from her upcoming album funhouse. Its a good song with pinks original style its a reflection for many people who can relate to the lyrics in this song.
Sober is a more mellow slow jam. It has a very rocker feel to it as the electric guitar sounds in the background. At the same time you have some classical instruments accompannying the verses.
There are many people who feel that to be the life of the party or the social butterfly at every event they must have a drink in there hand...todays song features the artist pink talking about how she doesnt want to be the person that alcohol makes her become. However being drunk is the only way she can forget her problems and feel untouchable. I love songs that you can dance to with heavy beats choreographed routines todays song was a shoe in to write about. The song killa by the group cherish is just that and believe me it does not dissapoint.
Killa is a great song it starts off fast and keeps you moving until the end. The song has a misture of rhythms that make you feel the song in so many different levels.
My song choice for today I know a lot of girls can relate too. It basically talks about a girl at a club spotting a guy whom she knows is a player but she doesnt care she wants him and she will get him. The funny part is that even tho hes a killer no girl can resist a bad boy.

For todays post I decided to write about a spanish singing sensation that hasnt been out for very long but already has made a name for himslef by singing his extroverted and crazy music with his liberal sound calle 13 has made his way to the top of the charts.
No hay nadie como tu or "Theres no one like you" is a very dancible song that features a lot of puerto rican flavor despite the melting pot of instruments. You start off with an australian instrument and slowly work your way into the trumpet. theres really not much change in the tonality or the rhythm of the song however the beat really does keeps the listener's ear listening.
This song simply describes all sorts of different people in the world. It also talks about all of the different problems in the world and it states many of them in detail. Letting the listener know that despite the differences in the world from people to cultures to religion and race No Hay Nadie Como Tu!

wow my third post already...

I must say my love for music seems to be unending because I firmly believe that without music you really do have nothing. In todays post ive decided to write about a song from the princess of pop herself Ms. Britney Spears. The song name is Trouble and well the title says it all.
Trouble is a really catchy bonus song from britney's latest album "Circus". This song has a really upbeat tempo that can be taken from the car to the club. It has a bit of house music tendencies throughout the whole song that give Trouble the energy it needs to be a hit.
This song talks about a girl who is into having fun and just living the life but at the same time wants to maintain reserved unfortunately the fun of the game doesnt allow it. She sings about a guy who shes knows is wrong for her but whom she just cant give up on. She lets him know not to get it confused that just because shes a good girl doesnt mean she can't be bad. This guy obviously knows what to say and in the end wins her over because in the end theres nothing wrong with a little bit of trouble.

For todays post i decided to write about a song inspired by a story i heard in class... child abuse is a very serious issue that seems to be more and more prevalent in todays news. It's something that needs to be discussed and talked about to stop the horrible traumas brought about by so many troubled people who take out there frustrations on innocent bistanders such as small helpless children.

Concrete Angel is a beautiful song by martina mcbride with a soft country style that resonates in the heart. It starts off with a catchy piano melody and continues with soft guitar strums taht carry the song to the melody. the song has minimal instrumentation and has more of an acapella sound until the piano comes in.

This song talks about a little girl who lives her life day by day being abused by her parent. She goes to school and says nothing of her homelife.Whats very disturbing about this song is that so many people know whats going on but chose to stay quiet and say nothing. Her teacher neighbors and classmates can see somethings wrong but continue to live there lives selfishly unwilling to question why the she has bruises on her body. Unfortunately, the song has a tragic end as the beatings sustained by the child take her life away and all thats left is the concrete angel watching over her tiny grave.

i hate this part...

So this being my first blog...ever i decided to introduce myself and what it is i will be doing on each of my posts. First of all my name is nikole and i am a huge music lover. Theres nothing like a good song to make you reflect on emotions and ideas that once made you realize lifes everchanging lessons. On this newly acquired blog i will be reviewing/interpreting in my own words new, old and in between music that i feel should be listened to by everyone.
I decided to make my first post on my newly discovered favorite song I Hate this Part by the Pussycat Dolls from there newly released album Doll Domination. I Hate this Part is a catchy song with catchy lyrics and wonderful vocals. It has a very reflective style to it as the piano seems to carry the song through every word. The lead singer of the group seems to really capture the emotion brought about by the words in the song. The backup vocals of the remaining 4 girls seems to really push the song to a new level of melodious enjoyment.
This song hits so close to home with me and I feel that anyone listening to it, if they really listen to it can identify with the meaningul lyrics. This song talks about a girl in a relationship who finds herself being the only one trying to make it work. The girl in the relationship finds herself giving up and decides to let him know how she feels even though it breaks her heart to do so. The song goes back and forth saying how she hates that she has to let him go and despite her knowing he'll try to make her stay in the end its whats best for her to say goodbye.
